PK and Kinder students must be met by an adult when dropped off at their stops. If no adult is present, the child will be returned to school.

If you rode the bus last year, and your Smart Tag lanyard is still in good condition, wear it on your backpack on the first day of school. All students will be provided a new Smart Tag ID, lanyards will be provided to those students that do not have one.

Your badge should be on a lanyard on your backpack strap visible to staff at all times, regardless of how you go home all school year. If you change backpacks, these should move to your new one.

Car Rider Arrival 

To help our mornings run smoothly and ensure students arrive safely and on time, we’d like to share a reminder and a small update to our AM car rider procedure. The morning car rider line ends promptly at 7:55 a.m. Families who arrive after this time will need togo to the front of the school, park, and walk their child into the front office.

Beginning next week, we will place a hot pink paper on the front windshield and back window of the last car in line at the entrance to the car rider parking lot. This visual signal will let any cars arriving behind it know that the car rider line has closed and that they will need to proceed to the front of the building to walk their child in. A teacher on car rider duty will collect the paper from the last car as they are unloading their child.

Car Rider Dismissal

Car riders must be picked up by 3:30pm. There will be no staff to monitor students after the 3:30 pick up time. Please remain in your car and wait for a school employee/safety patrol member to assist your child. Please do not motion for your child to come to you. Parents are responsible for ensuring their child is buckled/unbuckled for arrival and departure.

Car riders are scanned by a barcode on your child's car rider sign. Car rider tags are required to be scanned in order to enter the car rider line. Car riders are picked up in the back of the building by the gym. Car riders should enter the parking lot by turning right coming North on Ed Kharbat. Cars turning left into the car rider line will not be scanned and will be required to go to the end of the car rider line.

Changes in Transportation

When a child’s transportation changes frequently, mistakes may occur. We ask you set a routine at the beginning of the year and do your best to stick to that routine.

We cannot take transportation changes over the phone. Without an email, we cannot change your child’s transportation. Please know this is done for the safety of your child. If we cannot verify who you are, we cannot make the change.
Anytime a student’s designated transportation is to be different, the parent/guardian must email wilkinson@conroeisd.net before 2:00 on the day of the change and attach a copy of their driver’s license. For your child’s safety, we will not make any changes over the phone or through handwritten notes.
